How do I set my timezone?

Are you new to LingoCulture? Bienvenue! Before you do anything else, booking, browsing, or choosing your favorite teachers, please set your timezone. It is the single most important step to ensure your French journey starts on the right foot.

Why It Matters

Our global booking calendar is tied directly to your specific timezone. By default, the platform uses UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). If your settings don't match your local clock, you might:

Book a class at the wrong time
Miss your session entirely
Have confusion with teachers about when the appointment starts

Setting your timezone correctly ensures that every time you see a class on our calendar, it is shown in YOUR local time. No math or conversions required!

How to Update Your Settings

Log in to your account at web.lingoculture.com
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner
Select the "Settings" section from the menu
Look underneath your profile picture, name, and last name. You will see the Timezone field
Select the city or timezone that matches where you are currently living

Don't forget to click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page! If you navigate away without saving, your calendar will revert to the default UTC time.

All set? Now let's finish your profile!
