Classes are conducted using Zoom, which is by far the fastest video calling platform we tested.

Your tutor should call you on Zoom once it’s time for our class. However, first, you’ll need to download Zoom and create a free account.

• 1. Download Zoom here and create a free account

• 2. If it’s your first time with a teacher, it'll appear on the top right corner of your dashboard to "Launch Video Chat" of your lesson. Please see below:

• Another option is: you’ll need to accept the teacher's Zoom contact request (this will show up in the Contacts section). If you booked your class last minute, you can save a few minutes by adding a teacher as a contact yourself.
• 3. When it’s time for your class, simply launch Zoom, go to contacts and select the teacher you have a class with.
• 4. When prompted, tick the box “Automatically join audio by computer when joining a meeting” and click “Audio Conference by Computer”.
• 5. After, click “Start Video” in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
• 6. Your video should now be working. You’re ready to start learning French!

Note: If you are using Chromebook, then the Zoom application is very limited and doesn’t allow you to add contacts. Therefore you can add a note to your bio stating that you would prefer to use Skype or Google Hangouts as your alternative.
