You've booked your class, now it's time for the exciting part, actually attending it! Joining your LingoCulture class is as simple as clicking a button. C'est l'heure! (It's time!)
Where to Find Your Class

Log in at web.lingoculture.com

On the main page, look for the "Upcoming Classes" section

When it's time for your class, a red button with a camera icon will appear next to your scheduled class

Click the red button, and it will open your teacher's Zoom link, and you're in class!

Important Timing Information
The join button only appears at your scheduled class time. This means:

You cannot join 10-15 minutes early

The Zoom link won't be active before your class starts

The button appears at your scheduled time. Click as soon as you see it!

You'll Also Receive an Email
About 15 minutes before your class, you'll receive an email reminder with your class time, teacher's name, Zoom link, and any pre-class notes from your teacher. This email is a backup; the easiest way to join is still through the platform's red button.
Before You Join: Technical Setup
Make sure Zoom is ready:

Download Zoom at zoom.us/download (it's free! and our teachers have Premium Zoom, so no worries about any limitations)

Test your camera and microphone

Ensure your speakers or headphones work

Have a stable internet connection
What to Expect When You Join

You'll enter a Zoom waiting room. Your teacher will admit you within seconds

Your teacher will greet you and make sure your audio/video is working

Your 50-minute class begins!

The Zoom call will close automatically after 50 minutes
What If Something Goes Wrong?
Teacher isn't there at the scheduled time?
If they still haven't appeared, click the live chat bubble and let us know: "My teacher [name] isn't in the class scheduled for [time]." We'll reach out to them immediately or find you a replacement.
Zoom link isn't working?

Tips for a Great First Class

Have a notebook and a pen ready

Tell your teacher how you're feeling (it's okay to be nervous!)

Q: Can I join from my phone or tablet?
A: Yes! Download the Zoom mobile app and join the same way.
Q: Can I record the class?
A: Please note that as part of our commitment to quality and safety, all live classes are recorded by LingoCulture for internal quality control purposes (as outlined in our Terms and Conditions). Students can record classes themselves on their end by informing their teachers.
Q: What if my internet cuts out during class?
A: No worries, you can send us a message over the live chat or rejoin as soon as your connection is back up. Normally, teachers wait until the scheduled hour and notify the team.
